Late one night, Paul Zeller was walking home from work...
Paul Zeller worked late hours at the College Park Honda dealership; often commuting between Arlington County and Maryland on the Metro, and on June 30th, 2006, he was said to have been walking home from the Pentagon City Station when he was shot by an unknown assailant just after midnight.
He was found dead on the sidewalk in front of the Pentagon Row shopping center in Arlington County, just outside of the World Market store, at 12:06 a.m. on June 30th, 2006, by police. Paul Zeller died from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was the fourth homicide victim in Arlington County that year.
No arrests had been made and the police would not comment on the circumstances of Paul's death in regards to whether or not they believed he was targeted or if they thought it was a random act. The detectives working the case interviewed several parties and posted fliers throughout the area; from the Pentagon City Mall to Interstate 395, soliciting information.
It has been over a year since this horrible tragedy, and the same questions remain...
How could something like this happen in an area that one would believe to be under constant surveillance; in one way or another, and yet, nobody knows a thing about it? This simply cannot be...can it?
